Beckett versus Bedtime

While we were in Gilbert for Thanksgiving, Beckett's grandaddy taught him how to pull up onto the couch. Now, Beckett is a pro at pulling up on everything. We have been battling with naptimes for the last few days. I lay him down and he immediately pulls himself up and then screams, and screams, and screams some more. Then, there's silence and I think "finally, he's sleeping." But when I walk into check on him, this is what I find:

"Surprise! I've been waiting for you to come back in"

"You know you can't resist this cute face"

"Please get me out. I promise I'll be sweet"

"Am I going to have to chew myself out of here?"

"Please, I'm begging you to get me out of here!"

"Fine, I'll just keep screaming"

Finally asleep (or maybe passed out). Either way, he's quiet and I like it!
P.S. This is the nap where the dog barked and woke him up. She's lucky she lived to see another day!

Frozen Veggies, Part II

We couldn't wait for Beckett to try ice cream, but we didn't want to give him too much until we knew how it would effect his stomach. So, we gave him a couple of bites and decided that was enough. Here is the reaction that we got:

Crying because we won't give him more {Pa's facial expression is priceless}

Begging Daddy for more ice cream

Major meltdown {Pa is still laughing}

Daddy caves and gives him a little more

and a little more

There's my happy baby :)
Thankfully, the ice cream didn't make him sick. Beckett is looking forward to his next visit to Pa's house because Pa always keeps "frozen veggies" in the freezer :)

Frozen Veggies, Part I

Blake's family has a tradition of letting Blake's grandpa feed his grandkids their first ice cream. We have all been anxiously awaiting Beckett's first "frozen veggies" experience. It was well worth the wait and I think it's safe to say that Beckett loves ice cream!

New Blog

I've decided to start blogging. Well, not exactly blogging, but more of a baby picture blog for all of our family and friends.
