Busy Times

What have we been up to lately? Here are a few random pictures from the last few months.

Checkers with Grandpa

Best friends :)
We visited the zoo several times this summer, especially towards the end of the summer when it started to cool down a little bit. To be honest, I really wasn't a fan of the Tulsa Zoo in the beginning. I felt that it was entirely too spread out and had always compared it to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. I just wasn't impressed with it. However, it has grown on me a bit. I now like the fact that it is so spread out because I feel like we are on our own private tour every time we visit. We don't really have to share exhibits with anyone and can eat lunch without having to fight for a spot. We really have enjoyed zoo visits this summer and look forward to many more.

Beach Time

We had planned to visit Virginia Beach since it was only an hour away from our condo. However, we researched a little bit and found this little "beach" that was only about 20 minutes away and it was perfect for us. It didn't have the true beach feel that we were wanting, but it was perfect for a toddler who only wanted to play in the water for about an hour. It was also fun to watch the boats pass by in the background.

Colonial Williamsburg, Virgina

We don't have many pictures of Colonial Williamsburg because Blake, Beckett, my mom and I just wandered around while my dad explored. My dad was able to explore the entire site much quicker without the four of us dragging behind him.

Here are the few pictures that Blake took just to prove to his mom that we actually went :)

We didn't realize that the College of William and Mary was actually on the grounds of Colonial Williamsburg, so we were able to look around in one of their classroom buildings. I loved the big windows and the historic classroom feeling.
