Water Gun Fight

Beckett and my dad got into a pretty fun water gun fight while we were in S.C.

Here he is trying to sneak up on Grandaddy. His giggling often gives him away :)

The water gun served as a weapon and a water fountain.

Airplane Ride

We were watching the airplanes land while waiting for our flight to start boarding for our trip out to South Carolina. Beckett normally knows the difference between the methods of transportation. For some reason, when he saw the airplane on the ground and up-close, he shouted "(Dramatic gasp) ROCKET SHIP!!" Then for the entire week he told everyone that he rode on a rocket ship to South Carolina. Now, he has the vehicles straightened out again...at least until next time.

Studying up on what to do in case of an emergency.

His Aunt Serah bought him this really cool pilot's hat at a Delta convention that she attended. He wore it proudly and even showed it off to the pilots on our plane.

Our flight back was delayed for a few hours due to severe weather. Thankfully this other little boy was on the same flight, so they were able to keep each other pretty entertained for a while. They drank juice together, played Thomas the Trains together and played with Army men. The little boy and his parents were flying back to Romania permanently, so his parents appreciated Beckett wearing him out. When we got to Atlanta, his mom said that he slept the entire flight. Meanwhile, mine talked nonstop for the entire flight...

Random Phone Pics, April 2013

Beckett was so excited to find Eli (the ORU mascot) on one of Blake's t-shirts and insisted on wearing it around the house.

I told the lady at the hair place to cut his hair exactly like she did last time. Somehow she interpreted that as a mo-hawk. Then she wanted to turn it blue or red, but thankfully Beckett refused the color.

Beckett's Aunt Sarah bought him this neat Braves puzzle for his birthday. He absolutely loves it!

This picture is difficult to see, but Beckett always sprints to his Kaki when she arrives at the airport. I need to get a video. I'm not sure which one runs faster to greet the other :)

Bubbles!

Beckett got this coloring page from church. I walked into the kitchen to find him down on his knees praying with the little girl. His prayers usually go like this: "Jesus, thank you, Karsten, Mommy, Daddy, Elmo balloon, big trucks, choo-choos" and on and on and on. I love it :)

Finally warm enough for frozen yogurt outside!

He loves to line up all of his toys. I think this was supposed to be a straight line, but the chair got in the way. Ha!

Racing all of his cars.

Lining up his toys again.

This is how he totes his toys around.

He likes playing with Play-dough.

Santa Sightings

I'm not sure why, but Beckett has been really into Santa lately and has spotted him on several different occasions. We haven't done the Santa thing in our house, so I'm not sure what sparked his interest in him. I don't know that he fully grasps the concept because these are the Santa's that he has spotted:

He recently found Christmas wrapping paper in the closet.

I usually let him watch the local OETA/PBS station because I don't have to worry about what kind of shows come on during the day (Curious George, Barney, Dinosaur Train, etc). One morning, I walked in and he shouts "Momma, SANTA!!" while pointing to the television. I quickly realized that he was watching "Slavery in America" and he thought that the slave owner was Santa.

A friend of mine explained that they do an educational show once a month that they watch in the school systems. Can't a parent get some warning that they are going to switch up the programs? Ha!

I'll give him this one. Noah and Santa have a lot of similarities.

While at the hardware store he saw a gnome that he swore was Santa. I can understand this one, too.

Saving the best for last, we were watching basketball one night when he spotted James Harden and shouted "SANTA!!" It's a close one, Son...it's a close one.
