I couldn't resist this fun photoshoot of Jensen waking up in the morning. It's a process full of drama (similar to her mother's). Although, I wake up a little more grumpy.

Happy 3 Months

| Beckett vs Jensen |
What have you been up to?
You are sleeping great through the night. Sometimes getting you to sleep at night is a challenge, but once you fall asleep you sleep all night. Unfortunately, your brother wakes up at 8 am, but you've been known to sleep until 9, 10 and even 11 a time or two. I'm afraid that you get your love of sleep from your mother! You love to cuddle and sometimes I let you take your naps in my arms. I'm aware of how quickly this stage passes, so I am taking full advantage of all of the sweet snuggles that I can get right now.
You aren't known to miss many meals. In fact, you still get pretty angry if we even threaten to go over your 3 hr time slot.
You are a very expressive baby. People are always asking "what's the matter" and then I have to explain that you always look a little concerned about life. You like to smile, but you make us work hard to get them. You just started belly laughing which we love, but you are pretty stingy with those too. You can go from being so happy to so mad at the drop of a hat.
You and your brother love each other so much. You smile when he walks in the room and he has a blast trying to entertain you. You really want him just to talk to you, but once you smile at him he thinks that he needs to turn cartwheels or do something over-the-top to get you to laugh.
You are quite the drooler these days and you chew on anything you can get your hands on. You are also pretty mobile. You can scoot on your back all the way across the floor. You have pushed yourself out of the back of your swing and you knock down the walls of your play mat. You refuse to fall asleep until you have successfully scooted off of your mat or blanket.
Oh yeah, and this lip...

A Day Out With Thomas
After two straight years of praying (four times a day) that he would be able to ride on Thomas the Train again, we finally took him for another Day Out with Thomas. In our defense, Thomas only comes to town two weekends a year. We surprised him and his reaction was a little anti-climatic this year, but we still had a blast. He was one of the older kids there, so I'm wondering if the end of his Thomas the Train obsession is near. He rarely requests the Thomas show anymore and non-train related toys are starting to enter his daily play routine. I hope that he will still continue to be a train kid, but if not, we had a good run.

| So many little sisters at the event! Most of them were hanging out with their grandparents. J had no complaints about that! |

4th Birthday
On Beckett's birthday, Blake and I took him to Incredible Pizza and had an absolute blast (pictures in earlier post). Because his birthday falls around Easter/Spring Break, we normally have his party a few weeks later when my parents can get off of work and fly out.
This year, I was in the process of planning a party when I was put on bed rest. I didn't want to cancel, but I knew that I wouldn't be disciplined enough to not get out of the recliner for the entire duration of the party. My mom and mother-in-law were perfectly capable of throwing the party, but I knew that my stubbornness wouldn't allow me to relax while hosting. So, we decided to do a small family gathering this year and it was absolutely perfect (and I even stayed in the recliner for the most part).

I'll Be Back Soon
I've been MIA for a few months. Here's why:
I hope to catch up soon. Don't worry, I've taken
thousands of pictures. I just need to upload them.
Only Child Expiring
We took these pictures on Beckett's last night of being an only child. He was so excited about meeting his little sister and counted down the days to June 15. We kept telling him that she could come a little earlier, but he kept reminding us that the doctor said June 15. His understanding was that she would come no earlier and no later than June 15 and he was correct.

First Purchase
Beckett saved his money to buy a Thomas the Train pillow. He saved up for a while with this item in mind. We quizzed him several times to make sure that this was what he absolutely wanted. The pillow cost a total of $20, so we wanted to make sure that he wouldn't change his mind after the purchase. For many months, he talked about how he was saving up for this pillow. We were so proud of him for working so hard and setting his mind to something and following through with it. He was one excited boy when he finally had enough money saved and he and dad got to make his big purchase at Target.
