First Football Game, Part I

Beckett attended his first football game on Labor Day weekend as the Oklahoma State Cowboys took on the Savannah State Tigers to open the season. The Cowboys crushed the Tigers with a final score of 84-0. The beginning of the game was extremely hot and miserable, but things cooled off after the sun went down. Given the score of the game and the heat, the game felt like an eternity, but Beckett was a champ. He enjoyed the loud noises, the action, and his favorite, the mascots! One of the fans behind us even commented to his buddy "I would leave now, but I'm waiting to see if the little guy crashes or stays awake for the entire game." Beckett showed them and powered through to the end, lasting longer than 90% of the rest of the fans :)

Go Pokes! Not a great photo, but the best we could do facing the sun.

Doggie Door

Well, Beckett has officially learned to use the doggie door. In fact, he likes it better than Karsten does. After just a few times of observing the dog use it, he caught on and decided to try it himself. Now he's a pro. Sometimes, I'll be talking to him in the kitchen and turn around and he's outside looking at me through the door. Thankfully, we have more of a courtyard than an open backyard, so I don't have to worry about him escaping from the yard. He also loves throwing his toys outside, so when Blake comes home from work, half of the items in our house have been thrown through the doggie door. Blake took a funny video that I'll try to post at some point.

"Come on in, Karsten"

"Hmm...how'd she do that?"

Busted!

He's also learned that he can use the door frame (from the window
or doggie door) to stand on to reach the door knob. Little stinker!

Grandaddy's In Charge

When Grandaddy and Kaki visited in early September, Grandaddy babysat Beckett for a few hours while Mom and I ran errands for Serah's wedding. Here's what we came home to...no questions asked.

Mud, mud, and more mud. Looks like a good time was had by all.

Grandaddy drew Beckett a soccer goal on the wall.

Birthday Balloons

I apologize for the look of this post, but I'm embarrassed to say that I have used the max number of pictures that I am allowed on the blog. So, I (aka Blake) had to find an alternate way to post pictures.

Anyways, my parents were here during the week of my birthday and my Mom and Beckett brought a bouquet of balloons to my work. Beckett was so proud of the balloons and wanted to show them off to everyone. Once we got them home, he never let them go.

This is how he ate breakfast, lunch,

He loved to sprint back and forth

It was a sad day when our balloons finally deflated.

First Haircut

I know that I'm a month late, but Beckett got his first haircut last month. We went to a place called Kuts 4 Kids, which was recommended to us by several people. Mr. Will did a wonderful job and can do an entire haircut in about 5 minutes. He did a great job keeping Beckett entertained enough to keep still. I debated whether or not it was time for a haircut. It took him 16 months to actually grow hair, so I was hesitant to cut it all off. The back of his hair started getting really thick, while the top was still lacking, so he was beginning to sport a nice little mullet. That's when we decided it was time...

There was a play area for the kids, so we didn't even have to use the 4
grandparents that we brought for entertainment ;)
