Riverbanks Zoo, Part I

While we were in SC, we took Beckett to the zoo on his birthday. He had a blast and we had fun watching him interact with the animals. His Aunt Serah got us tickets, so her, Chad, Grandaddy, Beckett and I enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. Unfortunately, my mom and brother had to work and Blake wasn't in town yet, so they weren't able to come with us. That's okay, though, because I'm sure there will be many more zoo trips in our future :)

1st Birthday Party, Part II

 

1st Birthday Party, Part I

My mom and Beckett's Aunt Carson threw him a one-year birthday party in South Carolina. I was planning to do a small little get-together with a birthday cupcake, but his grandmother and Aunt Carson did not go for that plan. They planned and set up the entire birthday party and told us just to "show up". It was wonderful not having to worry about any planning and the party was fantastic. The kids seemed to really enjoy the carnival games and Beckett had a blast entertaining everyone. Thanks, Mom and Carson, for all of your hard work to make this party so much fun. Some of our friends even came from Charleston to celebrate with us. (Special thanks to Sarah for taking a lot of these pictures).  

Beckett's cousins, Phillip, Seth and Elizabeth (with a little
 help from their dad) made this impressive carnival sign. 

He hated the birthday hat, but Sarah was
able to capture the few seconds that he kept it on. 

He didn't mind putting the clown nose on Stella,
but he did not want to wear it himself.
